Goldilocks Bento

Ingredients:

3 strawberries, green part removed

6 almond slivers

cheddar cheese

sticky rice*

pasta

soy sauce

cut up veggies (like carrot sticks)

hummus or single serving Greek yogurt dip

nori seaweed**

*If you have a rice cooker, set it the night before to be cooked and ready when you wake up.

**it comes in sheets at health food stores or well-stocked grocery stores

Tools

a sharp knife

nori seaweed cutters

silicone muffin liners

alphabet cookie cutters

soy sauce container

divided lunch box like this one - PlanetBox Lunch box

Directions:

  1. With a sharp knife, pierce the strawberries towards the top where almond "ears" would be. Insert the almonds, and add the eye ball picks if you have them on hand.
  2. Put the hummus in a small container or cupcake liner, and add carrots in another.
  3. Press your alphabet cutters into the cheese slice to spell out GOLDILOCKS.
  4. Press the hot sticky rice into a circle shape with damp hands. I use a circle cookie cutter to help. Stir the hot pasta up with some yellow cheddar cheese (or dehydrated cheese powder if you have some) to give it a yellow hue. Drape it around the rice. Add lips (a bit of strawberry) and nori seaweed eyes.
